My mom has one hip is a little higher up than the other, and it hurts?

My mom is female (obviously). She’ll be 66 next week. She has had both hips replaced. One hip is a little higher up than the other and always has been. She has known rhis for 40 years never had any problems. More recently tho it has been hurting like hell. Is there anything a dr or maybe chiropractor or anyone that can do anything for her?

hi
yes,she needs a xray of the pelvis with hips done to see for any wear and tear of the implants that have been used to replace her hip.
take her to a orthopedist and start on physiotherapy and analgesic tablets.
thanks

HI
BOTH HIPS IDEALLY SHOULD BE AT THE SAME LEVEL. DIFFERENT LEVEL HIPS CAUSE MUCH STRESS ON THE HIPS AND THE LOWER SPINE.
GIVE HER A SHOE RAISE UNDER THE SHORTENED LIMB .
ANALGESICS AND ANTI INFLAMMATORY TABLETS WILL BE HELPFUL.

hello there
such painful episodes are expected with difference in hip levels. see if these can be brought back to same levels with a corrective surgery.
muscle relaxants and local gel application can be helpful
get a orthopedic doctor consultation.

Yes chiropractic and physical therapy along with silicon shoes adjustment can help
The idea is strengthening the longer hip side and streching shorter side to achieve similar hip levels , this is very effective , i have personaly preformed it many times
Good Luck

40 years is a long time for the replaced joints to tolerate.
A xray is essential to check for joint disorder or dysfunction.
Then a physiotherapist can help her by muscle strengthening and stretching plus adding a medical shoe or an insole to substitute the difference ..
