Dark spots appear on my kid’s skin, they start from light to dark in hours until they flake. there are no itching, swelling, or bleeding. No fever or any changes on his health or daily activities. he had the same problem 3 months ago and continued for a week, a doctor said it’s fungi and will disappear without any intervention. after 3 months they start coming back on groups. if a spot shows up in right cheek, another one will shows up on the opposite side (left cheek). he lives in a dry environment and until now they show up in this winter.
please I need a second opinion.

Hi
This is Pityriasis alba from sun exposure, do an ultraviolet test to confirm
Nothing to worry about just use simple sunblock
Good Luck
hi,
yes, these are foci of fungal infection.
cause of recurrent infection needs to be found out.
It may either due to poor hygiene or due to due to low immunity.
Apply local anti fungal cream with steroids.
Consult a dermatologist.
Thanks
Hi..
Thanks for the query..
The patches looks like either fungal infection or eczematous reaction..
Consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated..
A blood test and microscopy of scraping from the lesion can be done for further confirmation and then only treatment can be advised..
Hope this helps..
One more thing I would like to add that please avoid applying any ointments especially steroid containing ointments without a proper consultation and advise of a Dermatologist as it can cause further deleterious effects on skin..
Yes that is tinea fungal infection..
İ recommend using antifungal topical cream and using clorohexidine wash on the area to prevent recurrence
Just moisturing creeams , I do not recommend topical steroids except prescribed in a special regimen, zinc and vit a and c is v v v imp
