I have been diagnosed with three kidney stone?

Hey doc… I have been diagnosed with three kidney stone…. been through two sonography… I don’t want any surgery or lithotripsy … I am on local meds… i.e. alfuzosin and drotin-m…. the stones are moving… first sonography report says I had two stones in my kidney and one was in ureter. The second sonography report said one stone is at lower part of ureter that is at the opening of bladder and the second one is at upper part of ureter and third one is in kidney still.my questions goes like…How long will it take the stone to get dropped into the bladder and are meds fine for me?

Actually this depends on the size of the stones, but it seems they are moving outwards with the treatments, mostly 2of them are going to be treated easily with medications while the third one inside the kidney, I am not sure about it,its size matters..
You can reply to this thread with the report findings ..

hi,
if the stones are moving, then they will fall soon. The more water you drink, the faster will they fall off.
Stones more than 9 mm are difficult to fall by natural means.
May need lithotripsy if they are larger than 9 mm
the medicines you have been taking are correct and you can continue with them.
thanks

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

If the stones are moving then they are probably small in size and will et removed out of body with the flow or urine..
So drink plenty of water.

Stones larger than 8-9 mm will have to be to be broken by ultrasonic sound waves by a procedure known as Lithotripsy.
But be under proper guidance by a Nephrologist as large stones or a plenty of stones or renal calculi can cause damage to kidneys..

So take care..

Hope this information helps..

I recommend you not to wait any longer regarding those stone in the ureters , it may cause u losing the same side kidney , so u intervention rapidly is a must

Using sound waves to break up stones can be a good option , called extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy
(ESWL).Discuss it with ur doctor
