I have inflammation of my meso rectal fat, what does that mean?

I have inflammation of my meso rectal fat. No evidence of Proctitis
I need a colonoscopy
What does that mean?

I have been looking through the internet but am unable to get an answer without mention of Rectal Cancer

I would be grateful if someone could explain.

Hi
meso rectal compartment is the area containing rectum and some fats and lymph nodes , well it means some lymph nodes drained lots of fats, not sure why colonoscopy will be done really, you can have them removed
Good Luck

Hi,
My opinion you will have to get colonoscopy to diagnose any diverticulitis or other causes of inflamed meso rectal fat..

Hi..
Supposedly colonoscopy is being advised to rule out the underlying cause of inflammation of the mesorectal fat..

So get it done and upload the reports so that we can advise you better..
