I’m a 44 year old woman with very swollen stomach has been like this for 4 months
I’ve had Endoscopy / colonoscopy / X-ray and ct scan and every blood test known to man the only thing that has shown up is a small cyst on my ovary but been told it’s too small to be causing the swelling I get pelvic pain and dizziness with a few fainting spells
My gp has told me they can’t find anything wrong and thinks my stomach muscles have stretched I went from a size 10 to now wearing maternity clothes

Unless there is any other symptom that you did not mention,an ovarian cyst regardless of its size can cause pelvic pain, dizzy spells, and bloating ,but I need to know about your diet and exercise life style??
Your heart rate ? If you have sweating or blood pressure symptoms ?.

hi,
if all the tests are negative, then i think you should consult a obesity specialist and follow diet plan and exercises regimen to reduce the weight.
Sometimes even a small ovarian cyst can cause hormonal disturbances in ur body causing sudden weight gain.
An endocrinologist or gynecologist can help you.
thanks

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

If you have so much distention in your abdomen and no tests are diagnostic of anything specific then it can be due to excessive gas formation or bloating.
Secondly if you have an ovarian cyst then it can cause hormonal imbalance, water retention that can also cause stomach to swell..
So it is advisable to get a thorough hormonal profile done with a Transvaginal sonography and consult a Gynaecologist..
If it is due to weight gain or bloating then regular exercise, diet modifications and appropriate medication for gas like Simethicone can help..

Hope this helps..

Hi
Can I see your liver profile tests?
Have you done a liver ultrasound?
Pelvic pain is related to the cyst but not the abdominal swelling
