I got dermal fillers for my lips, after accident, I noticed a little ball/bump inside it?

HI! I got dermal fillers for my lips in May and everything was just fine for 4 months, I was very happy with the result. However, in the beginning of October I fainted, hit my face really hard and damaged my upper lip. It got swollen and bruised. In a few weeks I noticed a little ball/bump inside it. I’ve been visiting a cosmetic clinic since then and trying to dissolve it. I’ve had 4 treatments already, I can see the progress but the ball is still there. I’m just scared that it might not dissolve because of the scar tissue that is probably wrapped around that piece of filler. Have you ever had the same kind of situation in your practice, what treatment would you recommend? I’m very young and scared and don’t want to get any kind of plastic surgery. Thanks in advance. Look forward to hearing back!

It is a common injury …The scar should be examined by a professional plastic surgeon ..Possibilities include, excising the scar and revising it surgically, dermabrasion, injections, and possibly laser.

Dermal lip filters have rare side effect of forming lumps
only fast succesfull treatment is botox ,However contratubrex is used if bump is not so close to the mouth
Good Luck

hi
if you feel its improving ,then you should have faith in your doctor and have patience.
It will take time to resolve.
If still, you feel that there is no significant improvement, then aspiration of the bump should be done and LASER therapy should be done to get faster recovery.
thanks

HI
YOU WON’T NEED A PLASTIC SURGERY DEAR. DON’T WORRY.
LOCAL STEROID OR BOTOX INJECTIONS WILL SURELY HELP.
APPLY LOCAL CREAMS.
AVOID CONTACT WITH HOT FLUIDS.

hello there
consult a plastic surgeon and confirm whether its a collection of fluid or a scar tissue.
collection can be drained through needle while scar tissue may need injection or excision.
